Background

Liondes Chalets opened in December 2016 with a clear goal: to stand apart from the traditional lodging options in San Vigilio. The concept focused on spacious chalets for four to eight guests, deeply rooted in Ladin culture and equipped with cutting-edge technology—from smart home controls and digital access systems to in-room tablets for breakfast orders, massage bookings, and guest information.

The concept hit the mark. From the start, the property attracted a large share of internationaltravelers. Today, guest distribution is roughly 25% German, 25% Italian, and 50% international. Around 65% of bookings come through the direct website, with about 30% from OTAs. While digital tools were a priority from day one, the pricing strategy lagged behind.

The challenge

Before implementing Smartpricing, the property relied on manually defined prices, differentiated by high, low, and shoulder seasons. Differences in demand within these periods were not taken into account, resulting in lost revenue.
