Tell us about your property

Hotel Vittoria is located in the upper part of Fornillo, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Positano. It’s a family-run business with 20 rooms and a stunning panoramic terrace where we serve breakfast. Our clientele is primarily made up of young American couples, many of whom choose us for their honeymoon.

We’re listed on OTAs, but during certain periods, we manage to achieve up to 70% direct bookings.

How did you manage rates before Smartpricing?

Our pricing strategy was entirely manual, and we worked hard to optimize it as much as possible. We set the price list at the start of the year, applying a small percentage increase from the previous year.

Throughout the year, we made minor adjustments, but no more than once a week and only when necessary. For example, I would lower prices if occupancy was low or if there was a last-minute vacancy.

I avoided comparing competitor prices because the competition here is overwhelming, and it’s become a race to the bottom.
