Aparthotel Arcom Palace is a superior 4-star aparthotel located in Pomezia, featuring 37 apartments divided into studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units. While it operates under the residence model, it was initially positioned in a higher-end market when it opened 18 years ago.

The apartments are mini suites, meticulously designed with attention to detail. We hired interior design professionals to combine modern comfort with antique elegance. The furniture throughout the property is sourced from the Far East, adding a distinctive touch to the ambiance.

Some of our guests choose us as a base for visiting amusement parks like Cinecittà World and ZooMarine, but 80% of our clientele is business-oriented due to our convenient location near both Fiumicino Airport and Rome.

This is why we are present on platforms like Booking.com and Expedia, but we also collaborate extensively with agencies organizing business travel and directly with companies.

Who had the idea to try Smartpricing?

It was me. I proposed it to the ownership a year ago. Before, we managed rates independently through a colleague who had taken Revenue Management courses, although we all collaborated on pricing updates, platform management, and agency communication.

After our colleague left, hiring a new dedicated Revenue Manager wasn’t within our budget, so I sought an alternative solution.

I considered a competitor, but after speaking with one of your consultants, I dropped the idea. I suggested trying Smartpricing during our budget meeting, and everyone agreed. The challenging year caused by the pandemic played a significant role in our decision. We were eager for change and wanted to try something innovative.

How has your work changed after a year of Smartpricing?

A year might be a short time for drawing definitive conclusions, but we saw results immediately with Smartpricing. Costs were manageable, so we didn’t need further convincing. Results were partly due to the favorable demand post-COVID.

The most noticeable benefit is the time saved. Apart from the initial setup and occasional checks, we don’t dedicate hours to managing prices as we used to.

This is the biggest advantage for us: Smartpricing has streamlined all processes. Unlike when we had a dedicated resource, now anyone on the team can easily manage pricing control, even without extensive Revenue Management knowledge.
